Sri Lanka recorded 56,567 international tourist arrivals from April 1 to 9, 2025, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority. The top source markets were India, the UK, and Russia, contributing 18.7%, 13.6%, and 10.9% respectively. Daily arrivals peaked at 6,934 on April 5. Total tourist arrivals from January to April 9 reached 778,843. Tourism earnings for March 2025 rose to USD 354 million, a 4.6% monthly and yearly increase in rupee terms. Firstquarter earnings climbed to USD 1.12 billion, marking a 9.4% growth compared to the same period in 2024.
